Childbirth classes start Thursday evening. I can't even watch surgery on TV. Do you think I'll be watching the video?

Other things
I have far too much to write for work right now (another manuscript, cover letters, toying with starting my dissertation five months early) to pay this blogge the attention it deserves. If only there were some other team member who could post things here... perhaps about her own pregnancy... I guess no one like that exists. What was I thinking?

This diaper is great... for me to poop on!
I am spending an unbelievable amount of effort trying to decide upon what my daughter will spend the first years of her life pooping on. I have sat down on two separate occasions to do some research, and I have logged at least five interweb-hours researching, and I'm still not sure if we're making the best choice. As of right now, we've settled on gDiapers (no, not that kind of G, this kind). I have 10+ years of chemistry-heavy education, and I'm still mostly in the dark. I kid you not, I even did some Google Scholar searching. I won't do it now, but expect a 10,000 word diatribe against the entire industry in the near future. This post is mostly just a flimsy excuse to introduce the Poop tag, which I assume will be getting a lot of use in the next several years, especially if this recession continues.

The scariest thing I have ever seen
That is scariest picture I have ever seen. Absolutely horrifying. There's pee dribbling down my leg.
Seriously, look at that little pink dress and her little bare feet. How am I ever going to be able to tell something like that "No"?
Terrifying.
Bonus Barely Related Tidbit: Two of the movies that scared the absolute piss out of me were Legend (still scares the living daylights out of me) and, to a much lesser extent, It. It wasn't until last week that I discovered that the bad guy in each of those movies was played by the same person. You guessed it: Tim Curry? Really? Yes, that Tim Curry. I had no idea.
